Until here, I had not had a very good sav experience in Sydney, sure, I had only eaten one sav, and nearly eaten one until I found out that the store was closed (in the Paddy's markets, but it was probably for the best cos it was called Pluto Pop, probably an iced frank), but I saw this one in front of the Manly Ferry dock on Circular Quay, and damn it looked fat.

My curiosity got the better of me, and even though the shop was right next to a toilet, that has never stopped me before. Why read a book in the bog when you can eat a sandwich? But alas, I have gone too far and strayed away from the review to the toilet, story of my life. This sav was fat, and I'm talking as fat as maybe two Florey savs taped together. The first thing that popped into my head was what the sav to batter ratio would be like, and when he cooked one for me I noticed the batter was quite hard and had also opened up in a spot, but this was a sav destined to enter my stomach.

I couldn't help but laugh with joy after the first bite. That batter was crunchy and tasty, and only about 2mm thick all over, and the break in the batter? Intentional, they had cut through it into the sausage so the sausage cooked nicely and it tasted absolutely awesome. A big fat spicy sav in the middle cooked to perfection. I ended up going back and grabbing another, and while the sav was cooking, the guy behind the counter had a good laugh and threw chips to the seagulls, what an awesome shop. 9/10
