This is a sav that hails from a very important takeaway for me and my mates, you see it was the location where we would gather every friday and eat a billion chips - unfortunatly we were not wise in the ways of the takaway and im afraid we never really tried the savs. But today was different and we sampled their fine merchandise. A wonderful overtone of butter, enjoying a lengthy palate. This savery has passed through many hands until it has ended in the vat of yet another greek that we dont know by name. I have come to find the 2005 to be a great vintage, possibly more lubricated or 'buttery' than previous yeilds. Eats well with a bowl of salt. This savaloy is by no means pretentious but the flavour is not dampened by an excessive overtone of salt. Will cellar well until 5 minutes after purchase, when the leathery properties of the sav are most affluent. All respected savaloy Connoisseurs agree that this cullinary delight deserves a well rounded 6.5.
