The Erindale Sav features regularly in my sav-based diet, not overly because of it's quality but because the Erindale Takeaway is the closest to my house. Now dont get me wrong the erindale sav isnt a bad one; rather it can be relied upon to constanly deliver a sav which is of an average to high quality. It's saveloy is generally a good quality sausage, and is rarely lacking flavour. I am overall impressed with the consistant quality of the batter. it's texture is always light and crispy, never too 'bready' which can be a problem with some of the other vendors which i frequent. one qualm i have is that i have never been overly impressed with the size, but following the trend of the erindale sav, it's not bad... just not great - i'd say average sized but when you've had some of the larger savs in the canberra region it's always hanging over your head that you know that there are savs for the same price that are a whole heap bigger. I have never had an unrealistically long wait for my snack and is always piping hot. The erindale takeaway is reliable if you just want a quick and tasty snack, it keeps me coming back because of this fact.

This is a rereview for a sav that i feel was un-fairly trated in the confusion that was the birth of battered sav. It was the first sav review done, and at a time when the store itself was in turmoil and the abundance of fantastic savs elsewere was overshadowing this underspoken sav. Truth be told, the savs werent that good back then, or more correctly, we were scared of the angry yelling greek man behind the counter, which detracted from the sav experience, and scared the bejeezus out of us. But those times changed, and changed for the better. The sav of choice for sav admins. This is a sav you can trust to give you that sav hit just as good every time. Consistency is the word in Erindale, and also friendly staff. Point from Steve, this sav has a lack of butteryness, whatever that means. Apparently we own the record of "most savs bought in one transaction", 14 I think it was.
